Details

World famous Gunpowder derives its name from the Chinese word “Zhucha” meaning Pearl Tea, referring to the tightly rolled shape of the leaves. Early European tea importers renamed this tea because of its similar shape to gunpowder pellets. Today, this tea is the most common green tea in the world. The brew has a rich, roasted, slightly smoky aroma with a sweet vegetal flavor and a satisfying astringency.

Russian Caravan Black Tea Blend

A centuries old tea blend that was so sought after in Russia that special caravans were commissioned to personally deliver it to the Czar. Legend states that the tea froze every night, which decreased the smokiness until it was a light background note. An intriguing blend of black teas that brews into a pleasing cup of tea.
