Product Description

Details

Black tea, being less pliable than green tea, isn’t often hand-shaped in this manner. The fresh leaf is processed traditionally into black tea. Then the leaves are rolled into a pearl shape, by hand, using a small piece of cloth and a judicious misting of water. The tea is then lightly dried, scented with jasmine blossoms, and finally fully finished. The end result is a beautifully shaped pearl of tea that brews into a well-balanced cup. The liquor has a pleasantly thick mouth-feel with a nice balance of honey-like flavor tones that enhance the jasmine bouquet.

Steep Time: 2-4 min
Water Temp: 200°-212°
TSP per 8 oz.: 6 pearls
Infusions: 1-3

Licorice Root Herbal Tea

In Sanskrit, it is called “Malathi” or “sweet stalk”. The Greeks named it “sweet root” and the Chinese call it “gan cao”, which means “sweet grass”. The intense sweetness can be traced to glycyrrhizic acid that is 50 times sweeter than sugar. Besides its use to flavor candy and medicines it is commonly used for its anti-inflammatory actions in digestion as well as for arthritis. The aroma and flavor is sweet and comforting, reminiscent of anise or fennel, but considerably stronger.
