Details

The tea plant (Camellia sinensis) flowers once a year in fall before the plant produces seeds and goes into winter hibernation. These blossoms are harvested from old growth tea trees indigenous to the southern Yunnan Province. Though not as floral as jasmine or rose, tea flowers have a delicate pollen aroma with shades of honeydew melon and a sweet, smooth taste. Similar to pu-er, tea flowers will age well and develop a richer, fuller taste.
